Good Morning, Reader!

NEC Men's Lacrosse is back with a new look [again] while the NLL announces two new assets in the unBOXed™ campaign.

The Latest:

NEC Men's Lacrosse Adds Cleveland State and Robert Morris As Associates Ahead of 2024-25 Return | NortheastConference.org

The Northeast Conference has had a dizzying few weeks. On October 12, the conference announced that it would once again sponsor men's lacrosse after a two-year interlude for the 2024-25 academic year - along with welcoming Detroit-Mercy & VMI to the conference. With the previously announced addition of Le Moyne from the Division II ranks for the 2024 season, the NEC would secure an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

But, only 11 days after the announcement, member institutions Merrimack and Sacred Heart announced their exit to the MAAC, taking the NEC to five teams and below the six-team threshold for an automatic bid.

Yesterday, however, the tide changed for the NEC as the conference again announced the addition of two new associate members in Cleveland State and Bobby Mo, thus resecuring a men's lacrosse AQ for the 2025 NCAA tournament.

National Lacrosse League releases two new brand assets for unBOXed™ movement | Ottawa Electrics & St. Louis Rhythm (via NLL.com)

The National Lacrosse League is pulling a power move with regard to youth lacrosse in North America with its unBOXed™ enterprise - one that the Premier Lacrosse League no doubt has its eyes on as it looks to make moves similarly in the upcoming calendar year.

Yesterday, the league continued its rollout of unBOXed™ brand identities with the announcement of the Ottawa Electrics & St. Louis Rhythm, a day after introducing the Tampa Bay Snowbirds and the launch of the NLL unBOXed™ initiative as a whole.

Fooser Sports Design out of Tampa, FL, is credited with the brands' design for the NLL's youth movement.
